I’ve spent over 20 years in business development within professional services.
Having delivered and consulted around lead generation solutions with organisations like the Law Society consulting team, I got consistently asked by clients to help give them the bigger picture of what worked for other firms - and what didn’t. Through that process, we found that better or different lead generation should not be the first place to look for more revenue.
With this in mind, I developed a model and started researching across a range of sectors – all professional services, knowledge based businesses – looking to prove what good looks like. I benchmarked results across law, accountancy, technology & management consultancy, HR consultants, marketing, even creative and design firms.
The research proved what experience had shown me – most fee earner based firms have huge, untapped revenue generation potential. They lacked the clarity, skills and process to do things properly.
